Home Atmosphere

Monachelle Homes exemplify the best of modern Midwest living. While each home has unique features, Monachelle Homes is noted for an inviting feel, cool colors, comfortable furniture, and warm home touches. Homes come fully stocked with kitchen and bathroom equipment. Rugs and curtains provide a cozy ambiance and ample sitting areas. Outdoors, residents experience manicured lawns, gardens, and relaxation areas. The group homes for adults with disabilities are compliant and accessible for our residents.

Home Life

Monachelle Homes promotes family-style homes. Our residents are encouraged to attend a family meal, game night, or take trips to local theatres or baseball games. Most residents enjoy a roommate, personalized mentorship, and a spectrum of resources provided by third parties.

Am I eligible to live in Monachelle Home?

Residents are accepted on a case-by-case basis. Some of our homes specialize in reentry programs or for teens exiting the foster systems. Other homes have adults that need assistance because of disability, age, or mental health. If you need a place to stay, let your social worker or case manager know that you're interested in Monachelle Homes.

How do I pay for Monachelle Homes?

Most residents use vouchers or stipends from SSI, SSDI, or other housing program assistance to cover the cost of housing. In your application, let us know what benefit you will use. We will ensure that the payment is acceptable.

Will I have a private room or apartment?

Most residents receive a shared room. It is possible to have a single, but there will likely be an additional cost that varies by house. Monachelle Homes does not provide private apartments at this time.

Is there a security deposit?

Yes. There is a refundable $500 security deposit when the property is left clean and with proper notice. There is also a Setup Fee of $500 that is not refundable. This cost ensures that every resident gets clean linen, a mattress, and a sanitized room.

Is there a minimum length of stay?

Yes. Residents agree to stay for a minimum of 3 months. Some residents opt to stay for several years. Let us know your circumstance. Monachelle Homes considers our residents.

Do you provide transportation services?

Monachelle Homes are located near public transportation. Many residents use our third-party resources to accommodate their transportation needs.

What if I need special services?

Monachelle Homes specializes in quality affordable housing. Residents assist each other as part of a living community. Most importantly, advanced services are outsourced to third-party providers. This ensures all residents have the support, services, and equipment needed for successful daily life.

Is there a waiting list?

Yes. Monachelle Homes seeks to help as many residents as possible. We accomplish this through small community living arrangements. Most homes comfortably accommodate 6-12 people. New homes open monthly. Contact us today to inform us of your interest. Our intake specialist will conduct a pre-interview and email potential residents of their placement and position on our list. We encourage you to join the list as soon as you see a need. Monachelle Homes is here to support your transitional, community, or assisted living needs.
